Energy Resources’ goal is to develop low-cost gas solutions to support the growth and development of Mineral Resources and the broader resource industry.
We are planning to conduct exploration activities in the onshore Perth Basin during 2019 and 2020, to determine whether there are gas resources worthy of future development.
Ongoing development of the Perth Basin’s resources has the potential to provide secure, affordable energy for Western Australia, and opportunity to strengthen and diversify the economy of the Midwest Region of Western Australia. Gas supplied by smaller onshore players like Energy Resources, located next to existing infrastructure, and closer to market, is likely to be provided with a lower net CO2 emission than larger offshore supplied gas plants.
As part of our Perth Basin Exploration Permits (EPs) we have to carry out exploration drilling and seismic commitments within a certain time-frame.
We also own two production licences which include the Red Gully gas plant in production licence (L18 and L19). Currently, there is no production from the Red Gully facility.
