Shelley Robertson joined Mineral Resources in 2019 to lead the company’s entire energy portfolio, including oil & gas.
Shelley has over 25 years’ experience across numerous industries including oil & gas, mining, infrastructure, renewable energy and agriculture. Prior to joining Mineral Resources, Shelley held the roles of Asset Manager, CEO and Managing Director with Norwest Energy NL. Throughout her career, Shelley has also worked with Woodside Petroleum, BHP Petroleum, Geothermal Power Pty Ltd, Rio Tinto and ABM Resources.
Shelley brings to the role a breadth of experience in ASX compliance, corporate governance, management, commercial negotiations, government and regulatory liaison, stakeholder engagement, fund-raising, project delivery, budget management, joint venture management and general operations.
Shelley has a Bachelor of Science degree, a Graduate Diploma in Petroleum Engineering and an MBA in Oil & Gas. Shelley also earned an Order of Merit on the Australia Institute of Company Directors course in 2018.
Rowan Hill joined Mineral Resouces in 2016 as a Principal Process Engineer.
In 2019, Rowan was promoted to General Manager, Energy, to oversee the Group’s energy strategy and the exploration activity of Energy Resources.
Rowan possesses extensive experience in the upstream and downstream oil and gas sector, having held both technical and leadership roles.
Rowan posseses strong leadership in the oil and gas industry and has an acute understanding of safety in design and operations.
Rowan commenced his career at Schlumberger Wireline engineer prior to joining Clough Ltd, a Perth based engineering and construction company. During his 15 years at Clough, Rowan gained a breadth of experience in the engineering field, including oil and gas processing, LNG production and transport and power generation. He held numerous roles that saw him work on a number of projects for companies such as Woodside, Chevron, Rio Tinto, BHP and Apache in a variety of jurisdicitions including PNG, USA and throughout Australia.
Rowan has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Curtin University and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Western Australia.
Paul Reynolds joined Energy Resources Ltd in April 2018. Paul is a senior energy industry professional having worked across both the up and downstream at Chevron.
He has experience within Compliance Assurance, HSEQ – Joint Ventures, Economics, Strategy and Exploration primarily from within Chevron’s oil and gas businesses. He has a deep knowledge of the energy system and previous experience also includes senior leadership positions with Alcoa World Alumina, BHP Billiton and the Australian Defence Force. He has worked in Australia, Japan, United States and China in both a corporate and operational capacity.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) and Post Graduate Degrees in Industrial Science and Environmental Management.
Neil Thompson joined Mineral Resources in August 2018 to build the exploration program and portfolio for Energy Resources.
Neil has extensive experience in the Australian oil and gas sector, leading successful exploration and development teams in a diversity of large and small companies, including Woodside, Drillsearch, Senex and Buru Energy.
Neil holds an honours degree in Geology from the University of Western Australia and a Post-Graduate degree in Environmental Impact Assessment from Murdoch University.
Michael Bycroft joined Mineral Resources in February 2019 to take up the position of Land Tenure Advisor and Tenement Contract Officer.
Prior to commencing at Mineral Resources, Michael lived in Broome for 6 years working as a lawyer for Kimberley and Pilbara Lawyers, where he practiced in a diverse range of legal areas and gained experience at a management level as Principal/Director. Michael is a strong communicator and has worked closely with clients and stakeholders in order to achieve successful outcomes.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) degree from Murdoch University. He also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and High Court of Australia.
